Ethical Policy
KBs Four Commandments of Style and Substance:
The bulk of materials used are reclaimed from industry - these are items that would otherwise be languishing in landfill. The rubber for bags come from right here in Graz, minimising the transport miles it takes to get them to the studio.
KB products are made mostly by hand, using techniques like riveting. This eliminates the need for stitching with electric tools, or fastening with toxic glues.
Informed by each season’s catwalk styles, Katcha brings her own punk aesthetic to the process, creating a visual language that can be heard over the noise of high-street fast fashion, yet is wearable every day. What’s more, the materials themselves, with their inherent variances, ensure that each KB product is different from the last.
Otherwise known as “walking the talk.” KB doesn't just have an ethical policy –sustainability is a way of life. That's why she cycles to work each day. That's why she prepares meals from scratch, campaigns against food waste, and makes sure lights are switched off at the end of the day!
